First off, I would like to say hello and thank you to anyone out there that has decided to read my blog. Forgive me and hopefully stay with me as I learn how to do this and share my story.
I will start of by taking a moment to tell everyone a little about myself. I am a single mother of a 6 year old boy … wow is that an interesting experience. I have always loved to write short stories and poetry, none of which have I ever shared with other people. I have always been a rather private person; however, now I am looking at pursuing various opportunities to do things that I enjoy such as writing. I enjoy being outdoors and watching the various children in my life play softball, baseball, floor hockey, basketball, soccer and any other sport they decide to try out. Although, I have to say that I am definitely one of those parents on the sideline that doesn’t know when to just shut my mouth….
I grew up in a small village in southern Michigan, and yes we really do tell you where we live by pointing at our palm. When I say small I mean less than 3,000 people in the entire village … which is mostly made up of farm land. Opening day of firearm season has a bigger turn out than Thanksgiving. We hunt, fish, camp, hike, and we like to be pulled around on sleds by tractors …
After school I did the typically rebellious move out and act like a grown up routine, which didn’t turn out well. Fast forward several years, now I am actually an adult and doing a better job of it this time around. I now hold 2 degrees, thinking about going for a 3rd and a full-time job that I love, working in Healthcare Management.
